TL;DR

dnsverifier.com does not require an account, does not sell or share your data, and does not run advertising. Tool inputs you submit (hostnames, IPs, etc.) are not persisted server-side. The site does use Google Analytics 4in production to measure aggregate usage (pageviews, country, device); this sets a small number of cookies which you can disable — see the Analytics section below.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) logs request metadata — IP address, user-agent, timestamp, URL path, response code. These logs are retained per Vercel's defaults and used only for rate limiting, abuse mitigation, and operational debugging.
  • Tool inputs. When you submit a hostname to one of the tools, the input transits our server in order to perform the requested probe. We do not log the input separately, but it may appear in standard request logs.
  • localStorage. Recently-scanned hosts and alert settings are stored in your browser's localStorage so you can return to them. This data never leaves your device.

Analytics

dnsverifier.com runs Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-RLTXK7T1GB to understand which tools get used and where visitors come from in aggregate. Google sets first-party cookies (typically _ga and _ga_*) which expire after about two years and contain a random identifier.

Information sent to Google includes the full URL of each page you visit (which may contain a hostname or IP you typed into a tool, since the tools encode that value into a ?h= query parameter for shareability), the referrer, user agent, language, screen size, approximate country derived from your IP, and event timestamps.

To opt out: install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, enable your browser's "Do Not Track" or tracking-protection setting, or use a content blocker. Analytics is fully disabled in non-production builds.

What we don't do

  • No account, no sign-up, no email collection.
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of usage data.
  • No advertising cookies, no ad-personalization, no remarketing audiences (we configure GA4 in standard mode only).
  • No cross-site tracking beyond Google Analytics first-party.

Third-party services

To perform scans, our server makes outbound requests to:

  • Public DNS resolvers (Cloudflare 1.1.1.1, Google 8.8.8.8, Quad9, and many regional providers) for DNS queries.
  • crt.sh (Sectigo) and the Internet Archive Wayback Machine for Certificate Transparency and historical-URL data.
  • RDAP and WHOIS servers operated by domain registries / RIRs.
  • The TLS endpoints, mail servers, and HTTP endpoints of the host you submit, as required by each tool.

Vercel's edge network terminates TLS and serves static assets. Their privacy policy applies to that layer.

Your rights

Since we do not maintain user accounts and do not persist tool inputs server-side, there is no personal data store for us to access, correct, or delete. To clear local history, use your browser's "clear site data" option for this domain.
